'Time Out' is committed to providing compassionate low cost counselling for Scunthorpe, Hull, Gainsborough, Grimsby and Lincoln for the emotional & mental well-being of all people in the community. It seeks to enhance the quality of relationships between both people and cultures, with a high regard for non-discriminatory practice.

ABOUT THERAPY in simple terms...

To be really listened to and understood without feeling judged, and to be accepted with whatever issues you may bring, enables you to work through any issues you may have towards a happier, more fufilled sense of self.

To have a safe and private environment to air your innermost thoughts and feelings and to know that what is said is private and confidential. (as long as there is no intent to harm self or others)

'Time Out' therapy focuses on warmth and relational depth in the counselling process and adheres closely to BACP's ethical framework for good practice. (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)

Costs for counselling:

£15 per hour.

(We have a reduced rate of £10 per hour for counselling with our student counsellor (starting in September) who is working towards a foundation degree in counselling. Initial assessment with fully qualified Counsellor at £15 per hour)

Payable on booking. 24 hour notice required for cancellations.

The best time to call is between 9am - 9.30am to get a 'real' voice as I am not usually working at these times. Normally if I am working I am unable to answer the telephone, so please do leave a message and I will contact you as soon as I can. 'Time Out' is a member of the Counselling Charity Website which is a Registered Charity-Caring for Emotional Health. It has a network of 2,700 affiliated CCC Registered Counsellors.

My counselling practice is in Scunthorpe, and being close to the M180 is within easy reach of Hull, Gainsborough, Grimsby and Lincoln. There is one hour parking outside and short/long term parking close by.
For counselling in Gainsborough, Hull, Grimsby or Lincoln, I am able to travel to where you are on request. Please contact me for details.
